See the DDP10EF shared storage server with NVME SSDs integrated with DDP16EX with hard disks using NVME-oF/RDMA and/or iSCSI/AVFS protocols with 40GB/s total and up to 11GB/s bandwidth per desktop. NVME capacity can be up to 307TB and HD capacity PBs. The DDP10EF is configured here as project cache within the A/V FS file system but can also be used stand alone. The system uses both protocols simultaneously on Windows and Linux desktops. On Macs currently multichannel iSCSI us used. For simple operations SMB is available. The system is for any audio, video or film format from standard 24 Bit, 48KHz audio to 8K DPX and beyond with any M & E application. Native Avid bin locking is supported. Hard link support for Autodesk, Vizrt, Tedial and others is included. The DDP10EF can also be standalone and be clustered within A/V FS for NVME scale out bandwidth and capacity.The workflow with all DDPs starts with creating a folder or folder structure per project within A/V FS. Dynamically folders can be given volume properties so that the folders can be mounted, cached and access right and quota can be set. The shared storage DDP10EF is set up connected to Autodesk Flames using AVFS/NVME-oF/RDMA as connection protocol. The DDP10EF comes with up to ten raid protected NVME SSDs and can have a bandwidth of 40GB/s with up to 11GB/s performance on Windows or Linux using 100GbE/QSFP28 cards. On Mac the bandwidth can be up to 6GB/s using AVFS/iSCSI as protocol. The NVME SSD capacity currently can be up to 307TB per DDP10EF. The DDP10EF can also be integrated with raid protected spindle storage arrays. The DDP10EF then can be configured as Project Cache. The system can access the SSDs using AVFS/NVME-oF/RDMA and use AVFS/iSCSI for the spindles. For less demanding operations SMB is available. The system can be used for audio video or film format from standard 24 Bit, 48KHz audio to 8K DPX and beyond and with any M & E application. It comes with native Avid bin locking support.
