About SAFOP SPA SAFOP is a company based in the Pordenone area, founded in 1923 and specializing in the construction of machine tools. Initially, SAFOP focused on producing small-sized machines. Over time, as the company’s know-how expanded, so did the size and complexity of the machines it manufactured. Thanks to its high level of product customization, SAFOP can meet every need. The company’s machine tools are used across a wide range of sectors, from railway, metro, and tram applications to various industrial uses, particularly in the naval, aerospace, energy, paper, and extraction industries. Throughout its hundred-year history, SAFOP has consistently invested in technological innovation to deliver top-performing products equipped with the latest technologies on the market. Each machine is supported throughout its entire lifecycle with dedicated services, including technical support, spare parts, maintenance, and training. SAFOP also offers a sustainable revamping service that gives new life to outdated machines by upgrading them to a modern version. We are proud to say that 99% of the rolling stock in Indian Railways are turned on our Wheel Lathes. Till date we have supplied more than 500 Wheel Lathes and 450 other SPMs. Our machines are working in Railways since last 45 years and giving the more than satisfactory services to the customers.
