About Research Casting International Research Casting International was founded in 1987 by Peter May. The company has grown from a team of three to nearly 50 employees in over 37 years of business and has the largest facility of its kind at 55,000 sq ft in Trenton, ON. RCI has been widely recognized internationally as a trusted and reliable industry partner, offering a wide range of services including exhibit design, fabrication, themed environments, artificial rockwork, fossil preparation, molding and casting and specimen mounting Established in 1987, Research Casting International (RCI) has grown from a team of three to over 50 in 2024. We have the largest facility of its kind and have worked with institutions such as Disney, Universal Studios, The Smithsonian, American Museum of Natural History. Our work includes theming, prop production, concrete, rockwork, artificial trees, 3D scanning and printing, 5 axis routing, hard coat and foam fabrication, bronze and aluminum casting, sculpting, specimen mounting.
