About
About National Chicken Council The National Chicken Council (NCC) is the national, non-profit trade association whose primary purpose is to serve as the advocate and voice for the U.S. broiler chicken industry in Washington, D.C. The Council’s mission is to: influence important legislative and regulatory policies and government programs that affect chicken; communicate with Washington policymakers and the media about chicken production, processing and products; affect domestic and international trade policy to maintain and expand foreign markets for U.S. chicken; and promote and protect the image and reputation of the industry. NCC member companies include chicken producer/processors, poultry distributors, and allied industry firms. 4 good reasons to join NCC: 1. NCC is the only national trade association representing the broiler chicken industry. NCC is strongly supported by member companies that produce, process, and market over 95 percent of chicken in the United States. 2. NCC meetings offer allied industry representatives a unique opportunity to network with hundreds of top executives of the chicken industry. 3. Allied industry members of NCC have regular access to information regarding regulatory, legislative, economic, public relations, and other areas of interest that impact the chicken industry and, thus, your daily business. 4. The best way for an allied industry company to support the chicken industry is to join and become involved in the ongoing work being done by NCC. The Council provides special recognition for its allied industry members. Allied members support will strengthen our efforts to address key challenges and NCC processor members will value your investment and recognize your commitment to building a successful future for the industry.
