About Mote Therapeutics We are a seed-stage biotech solving targeted delivery of mRNA-based medicines. mRNA has achieved breakthrough success with COVID vaccines, but access to most disease-relevant tissues and cell types remains an unresolved challenge with current mRNA delivery systems. Engineering next-generation delivery systems therefore holds enormous promise for expanding the application space of mRNA into novel therapeutic areas. A new wave of mRNA delivery-focused companies such as Capstan and Aera Therapeutics have entered this exciting space with targeted delivery solutions that lack modularity or are very challenging to scale. At Mote, we have created the Mobilize technology platform: a scalable, modular, and effective LNP based targeted mRNA delivery solution proven in vivo (in mice and NHP) to both actively target nanoparticles to cells of interest and prevent uptake in unintended targets. Some basic facts about us: 1. Our founder, Dr. Alex Wesselhoeft invented the circular RNA technology and cofounded Orna before he started Mote. 2. Founded in 2023 Q2, we have two fully operational locations: one in Massachusetts, USA and one in Guangdong, China, combining the advantages of both locales. 3. We hold patent filings covering our key technology innovations and are expanding into adjacent areas. 4. We are looking for interested parties to expand the horizon of mRNA medicines together, through direct investment, partnership, or platform licensing.
