About Kitchen Kettle Village Kitchen Kettle Village began over 70 years ago when Pat and Bob Burnley started making jelly in their Lancaster County home. What began as a humble kitchen endeavor has since grown into a beloved destination in the heart of Amish Country, now home to over 40 unique shops. One of those shops is By Candle Light, a charming candle store owned by Pat’s granddaughter, Devon. Staying true to the Village’s roots, each candle is hand-poured in the same style of glass jars once used for the family’s homemade jelly. Every jar is finished with a piece of locally sourced quilting fabric, thoughtfully selected to reflect the candle’s scent. Our candles are made with 100% soy wax and are poured in small batches to ensure quality, and a personal touch in every jar.
