About HLB "Human Life Better" HLB is dedicated to prolong the human life and enhance the quality of life by developing new drugs, centered around best-in-class anticancer drugs, including Rivoceranib which is expected to be approved by FDA on May 2024. From diagnosis to treatments, HLB strives to provide all-care service to make Human Life Better. 1) HLB Pharmaceutical : HLB Pharmaceutical (founded in 1998, part of the HLB) is a KOSDAQ-listed company mainly engaged in manufacturing and distributing pharmaceutical products. HLB Pharmaceutical’s 125 of ETC and 40 of OTC products have been marketed in South Korea. Also, as a CMO business, 190 drugs are manufactured in HLB Pharma’s two plants as a fastest-growing pharmaceutical company in Korea. HLB Pharmaceutical’s R&D center mainly develops innovative drug products including long-acting injectable microspheres and biomaterial-based drug delivery hydrogel systems. 2) HLB Cell : HLB Cell is a subsidiary of the HLB Group, focusing specifically on cell-based technologies. The HLB Group is a diversified conglomerate with extensive operations in the energy and bio/pharmaceutical business sectors in South Korea, Singapore, and the United States, owning and managing over 40 subsidiaries and affiliates. At the core of HLB Cell's innovation pipeline are two groundbreaking technologies : Hutrigel, a human normal cell culture derived extracellular matrix containing basement membrane component, and BleeFix, a powder type hemostat designed for surgical applications. Based on our DFPep (Dual Functional Peptide) Platform, our peptide therapeutics are currently being developed for the treatment of Multi-drug Resistant Bacterial infections and Alzheimer’s Disease. HLB Science is currently conducting a Phase 1 clinical trial for its peptide antibiotic DD-S052P, and seeks to expand its pipeline with a focus on cancer and autoimmune diseases. 4) HLB Biostep : Established in 2021, HLB bioStep is the first professional efficacy evaluation institution in Korea. Based on the experimental know-how and data accumulated through an average of over a thousand experiments annually, it provides fast and accurate data while minimizing animal experiments. Today, the nation’s top specialists in fields such as ophthalmology, surgery, veterinary pathology, and radiology interpretation are setting the standard for efficacy evaluations for various diseases, using high-spec equipment such as MRI, CT, Micro-CT, and X-ray.
