About Waterproof Diving Int. The story of Waterproof is also the story of the founders; two brothers who grew up by the sea on the west coast of Sweden. Completely different personalities in most ways, but sharing the same passion. Björn Ehlmé, is an inventive and creative businessman. Göran Ehlmé, Head of R&D, is a passionate diver leading expeditions to the polar regions as well as an underwater photographer for the BBC and National Geographic. In order to survive the harsh Scandinavian climate, our ancestors learned the importance of paying attention to the smallest details. They learned that their equipment must be able to stand up to the reality of their climate. That is why we at Waterproof control our own R&D, have our own production facilities and do our own sourcing of materials. We test our products and ideas on our expeditions in Antarctica and the Arctic, as well as other challenging places around the world.
