About University of Arizona School of Mining Engineering & Mineral Resources The University of Arizona is the new face of mining. The School of Mining Engineering and Mineral Resources represent the largest interdisciplinary mineral resources research group in the US. Our students have diverse backgrounds that demonstrate cultural competency; they are adept at creative problem solving, leadership, communication, with strong fundamentals in engineering and science.
