About UF Health Shands The University of Florida’s Pulmonary, Critical Care, Lung Transplant, and Thoracic Programs form one of the nation’s premier destinations for complex lung and airway disease. As a high-volume referral center, UF provides advanced care for patients with the most challenging medical and surgical needs, including highly HLA-sensitized individuals, those requiring ECMO support, patients with multi-organ dysfunction, and adults or children needing lung or multi-organ transplantation.
